CXM Trading's Leverage Policy
Leverage and margin requirements across every CXM Trading account type, by account equity and instrument class. Please read this policy before opening a Trading Account or placing an order.

CXM Trading LLC · Effective 14 September 2026
Overview
This Policy explains how leverage and Margin Requirements are applied across the various account types offered by CXM Trading LLC (the "Firm", "we", "our" or "us").
CXM Trading LLC is a company incorporated in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and approved by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to conduct Foreign Exchange Business under Licence No. 234 LLC 2019. This Policy applies to all clients and should be read before opening a Trading Account or placing any Order.
Leverage and Margin Requirements are determined by the applicable account type, account equity, Financial Instrument and the Firm’s applicable risk-management requirements, as set out in this Policy. The Firm does not operate a dynamic leverage system under which a Client’s leverage is automatically changed solely because the Client’s account equity moves between the applicable equity bands.
The maximum leverage levels stated in this Policy represent the maximum leverage available or applicable to the relevant account type and equity band and may be subject to additional instrument-specific, market-related or risk-management restrictions.
The Firm reserves the right to amend applicable leverage, Margin Requirements or trading restrictions where reasonably necessary to reflect changes in market conditions, liquidity, volatility, regulatory obligations or the Firm’s internal risk management procedures.
What is leverage?
Leverage increases buying power by allowing a trader to control a larger position than the funds deposited or held as margin. It is expressed as the ratio of the notional value of a trade to its margin requirement. While leverage may increase potential returns, it also significantly increases potential losses. Clients should carefully consider their financial circumstances, trading experience and risk tolerance before trading leveraged Financial Instruments.
The margin and stop-out arrangements described in this Policy are intended to manage Client exposure and reduce the risk of losses exceeding the funds available in a Trading Account. Where a balance nevertheless turns negative, the Firm’s Negative Balance Protection Policy applies to eligible retail Clients.
Standard Leverage Requirements
The maximum leverage available to a Client is determined by the applicable account type, account equity and Financial Instrument, subject to the restrictions and exceptions set out in this Policy. The leverage levels below do not constitute a dynamic leverage mechanism and do not mean that the Client’s leverage is automatically changed when account equity moves between the stated bands.
The following maximum leverage levels apply to Standard Accounts and CXM Trader Accounts:
Account Equity < $5,000 USD: Clients will receive a leverage of 1:1000 across most FX & Metals instruments, 1:200 across CFD Indices and Energies, and 10:1 on Cryptocurrency products.
Account Equity $5,001 – $10,000: Clients will receive leverage of 1:500 across most FX & Metals instruments, 1:200 across CFD Indices and Energies, and 10:1 on Cryptocurrency products.
Account Equity $10,001 – $30,000: Clients will receive leverage of 1:400 across most FX & Metals instruments, 1:200 across CFD Indices and Energies, and 10:1 on Cryptocurrency products.

Account Equity > $250,000: Clients will receive leverage of 1:100 across most FX & Metals instruments, 1:100 across CFD Indices and Energies, and 10:1 on Cryptocurrency products.

Fixed Leverage Requests
A Client may request to maintain a fixed leverage lower than the maximum leverage otherwise available to the Client. Such requests are submitted via the Firm’s Client Support Team for review and approval by the appropriate Risk Management personnel.
Approval of a fixed leverage request is entirely at the Firm’s discretion and may be assessed having regard to the Client’s trading history, account activity, experience, risk profile, market conditions and the Firm’s internal risk management requirements. Where a request is rejected, the Client may re-apply later with an updated trading history.
The Risk Team may revoke a fixed leverage permission at any time where it reasonably considers this necessary for the management of legal, regulatory, operational, market or other relevant risks.
In exceptional circumstances, the Firm may approve alternative leverage arrangements for new or existing Clients on a case-by-case basis, subject to such conditions as the Firm considers appropriate.
Fixed Margin Requirements
Margin for certain Financial Instruments is fixed regardless of the leverage selected for the account, and some instruments are always subject to higher Margin Requirements. These include exotics, energies, CFD indices, stocks and base metals. The current instrument list is published on www.cxmtrading.com or otherwise made available through the Trading Platform or Client Portal.
Event-Based Leverage Adjustments
Leverage is capped at 1:200 on new trades opened from five minutes before, to one minute after, a significant news event, then restored to the account’s applicable leverage once the window closes. Positions opened before the event are unaffected, as are products with fixed Margin Requirements.
End-of-Week Trading
Leverage is capped at 1:100 on new trades opened within the last hour before the Friday session closes, then restored to the account’s initial leverage at the start of the next trading day. Positions opened before the window, and products with fixed margin requirements, are unaffected.
End-of-Day Trading (EOD)
Leverage is capped at 100:1 on new trades in all instruments opened approximately ten minutes before the daily session closes, then restored at the start of the next trading day. Positions opened before the window, and products with fixed margin requirements, are unaffected.
The Firm reserves the right to introduce similar temporary leverage adjustments for other Financial Instruments where market conditions, liquidity providers or operational risk considerations make such adjustments reasonably necessary.
Copy Trading and Managed Accounts
Where a Client participates in Copy Trading, Social Trading, Follow Trading, PAMM, MAM or any other managed account arrangement, the Firm may apply a separate leverage profile appropriate to that trading model.
Clients participating in the same managed trading structure or under the same Introducing Broker may be subject to different leverage limits from those ordinarily applicable to individual Trading Accounts where this is necessary for prudent risk management.
Any applicable leverage profile or restriction will be communicated or applied in accordance with the relevant account, trading arrangement and Firm risk-management requirements.
Stop-Out Liquidation
All accounts are subject to a partial stop when equity/margin hits 50% or lower. The system will liquidate the largest losing trade first until the account is brought back above 50%.
Abusive Behaviour
Where the Firm suspects, or has reasonable grounds to believe, that a Client has abused or attempted to abuse the Firm’s policies or controls, it may, at its sole and reasonable discretion, deny, withhold, withdraw or terminate any leverage offering.
The Firm may also apply measures of recourse set out in the Firm’s Toxic Trading Policy, including voiding affected transactions, recovering related profit or credits, and restricting or closing the account or relationship.
Amendments
The Firm may amend this Policy from time to time in response to market or liquidity conditions, changes in applicable regulatory requirements, changes to its products or services, or changes to its internal risk-management procedures. The most current version of this Policy will be published on www.cxmtrading.com and will become effective on the date specified therein. Where the Firm considers that an amendment materially affects Clients, the Firm may notify Clients through the Trading Platform, Client Portal, email or by publishing a notice on its website.
Continued use of the Firm's Services after the effective date of an amended Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
